Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

Movie Review

Directed by: Steven Spielberg

Starring: Harrison Ford, Karen Allen, and Paul Freeman

In 1936, archaeologist Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is hired by the American government to find the Ark of the Covenant, the chest built by the Israelites that contains fragment of the Ten Commandments.  It’s a weapon of untold power.  As he races against the Nazis to find this ultimate weapon, Indy sets off on a deadly adventure that leads him all over the globe.  Raiders of the Lost Ark is a fun-filled ride full of action, romance, and big laughs.  It is the measuring stick for great action-adventure films.

Harrison Ford was already established as a force in Hollywood with his role as Han Solo in the Star Wars trilogy, but he forever established his legacy when he picked up a hat and whip to become Indiana Jones.  Steven Spielberg delivers an all-time classic and one of the greatest action-adventure flicks to ever grace the big screen.  Raiders of the Lost Ark gets a 0.03% rating.
