The Grudge (2004)

Movie Review

Directed by: Takashi Shimizu

Starring: Sara Michelle Gellar, Jason Behr, KaDee Strickland, Clea DuVall, and Bill Pullman

In Japan, there is a vicious curse that starts when someone dies in a fury or depression whereby the curse remains in the place where the person died.  Anyone who happens to be in the place where the person died is cursed to death.  This becomes an endless cycle of death and terror that passes from victim to victim.  Karen (Sara Michelle Gellar) gets a horrific taste of this curse when she goes to Tokyo and moves into the home of a victim of this curse.  She does what she must to survive in the face of true horror as friends drop like flies around her.  The Grudge is a uniquely terrifying film worth a viewing at some point.  It gets a 0.06% rating.  Have a little beer with it.
